First, If you are looking at this site it’s because you have suffered a loss of a friend or family member and I want to offer my condolences.
Second, your love one must have truly enjoyed building, working on, or just driving his special car, truck or bike. You understood and supported them, now you are wanting a tribute that truly represents their life.
Third, and I truly hope this is the situation, you are buying it for yourself to be able to enjoy it until the time in the very distant future that you will use it.
This is why I started Auto Urns.
How Auto Urns started.
My name is Sheldon Weaver, I’m a second generation Funeral Director that grew up in the Funeral Home and up until when I retired last year I spent my life serving my small community in our Cove. This was a true honor, and in the early 2000s I started my own crematory, this to keep me very busy.
Around ten years ago a very close older friend wanted to pre arrange his cremation. I bought my first muscle car from Bill in 1979 and we were MOPAR car friends the rest of our lives. He had a 1970 6pk Superbird and I wanted to do something special for him. I found a 1/18 scale Diecast Car that was a perfect match, but I needed something to put it on. I thought what can be more car, truck or bike related that Diamond Plate. I had the base made of wood and the car attached to the top of the diamond plate. He loved it and sadly almost two years ago he had to use it.
At that time there was little to no urns designed for car lovers and after many and I mean many tries I came up with urns that I liked and were different. When I started my website it was almost the only thing like it on google.
For the first few years, I tried to get in the Diecast car, truck or bike for the urn, but soon found out that many people had their own or it was taking to long. I had hoped that people would see the site and buy an urn for the future, but sadly most needed the urns right away. So I started to supply adhesive tabs for the tires that attach the vehicle to the urn. That way they can attach the car at a later date if they desired.
How are they made?
The Diamond plate and Stainless steel is cut, bent and welded by Gene at Martin’s truck bodies.

Yours truly picks up, assembles and then ships the urns with FedEx.
Other than the manufacturing of the metal and the emblems everything is made within six miles of my home in what we call the Cove surrounded by Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania.
We use when ever possible actual car and motorcycle emblems. We also just started using a laser engraver that can do about any kind of engraving you would like.
A lot of care is put into the custom making of our urns. All of us realize what we are making and what they will be used for.
We take this seriously.
